ESIC Registration – Overview 

Employee State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Registration is a government-mandated social security scheme designed to provide medical and financial benefits to employees in India. It is governed by the Employees’ State Insurance Act, 1948 and is applicable to establishments employing 10 or more employees (20 in some states). The scheme covers medical treatment, sickness benefits, maternity benefits, disability benefits, and pension to dependents in case of death due to employment-related injury.

Under the ESI Act, an establishment is any premises where commercial, manufacturing, or service activities are carried out. It includes factories, shops, restaurants, hotels, cinemas, educational institutions, and other commercial organizations. 
Step 1:

Visit the ESIC Portal 

Go to the official ESIC website (https://www.esic.gov.in/). 

Step 2:

Employer Registration 

Register your establishment by providing business details. 

Step 3:

Employee Registration 

Provide employee details (Aadhaar, salary, family details). 

Step 4:

Submit Required Documents 

Upload documents for verification.

Step 5:

Generate ESIC Code Number 

Once verified, you will receive your 17-digit ESIC code.
